The sector of Energies, and more particularly the Marine Renewable Energy (MRE) sector, is currently experiencing strong growth, particularly with the deployment of offshore wind farms.

Participate in reducing the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE)

IRT Jules Verne contributes to the reduction of the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) produced. To meet this challenge, the institute relies on its expertise in composite manufacturing processes, simulation and characterization and the expertise of its academic partners to support manufacturers in the energy sector in managing their wind farms. It develops structural monitoring and instrumentation solutions to monitor, for example, ageing.

Reduce the costs of parts manufacturing

IRT Jules Verne works in partnership with manufacturers in the energy sector and its subcontractors to design robotic workshops for the factory of the future, with the main objective of reducing parts manufacturing costs.

Develop skills for this emerging sector

The development of Renewable Marine Energies is creating new professions. IRT Jules Verne works with training operators to develop training that meets the needs of this emerging sector.
